Lithuanian natural gas trading companies UAB LITGAS and UAB Lietuvos Dujų Tiekimas (LDT), both part of Lietuvos Energija energy company group, and Statoil ASA have signed an agreement enabling reliable and flexible wholesale LNG supplies at Klaipeda’s LNG terminal and, thus, contribute to the development of the small scale LNG market in the Baltic region.

This revised version covers port requirements from April 1st 2016. China has published new regulations designating three areas as sulphur control areas effective January 1st 2019. Lithuanian SC Klaipedos Nafta is projecting and this year will start building a liquefied natural gas (LNG) distribution station. JetGas, the only LNG supplier in Estonia, is interested to become a user of this infrastructure in order to supply LNG as an alternative fuel for the industries around the Baltic countries and to expand LNG regas stations’ network.
